For Sailfish and Marlin we switch bait using teasers, dead bait and soft plastics only.
This method has been adopted to avoid damage to the fish and boredom to the anglers.

Season: Commences in March and finishes late November depending on weather; Sailfish arriving June. Other pelagic's start in March/April.

We also offer the option of reef fishing for full day private charter bookings. We target blue bone, coral trout, red emperor and many more.

We also offer barra charters through the wet season (November to March). We have a custom 6 metre centre colsole custom designed boat for Broome rivers and creeks. We target Threadfin, Barramundi, blue nose and triple tail etc.

What to expect on charter

As well as Sailfish & Marlin we also catch Spanish Mackerel, Cobia & Longtail Tuna as we often run a deep diving lure in the patten – Not bad by-catch!  Over the past 20 years game fishing we’ve picked up a few tips n tricks, so while your waiting for Mr Sailfish, feel free to ask Ringo or myself for a few of them, we’e only to happy to spread the knowledge.
Billistic is on the move all day and covers a lot of ground.

Tackle & Tactics

While on ‘Billistic’ you will be using 10kg spinning outfits, main reason is speed as you need to drop a bait back to the nose of either Sailfish or Marlin a.s.a.p. Our spread consists of up to seven teasers and drop back baits can be garfish, milkfish, mullet or even pilchards. This is hands on game fishing similar to fly fishing but on a larger scale and much more exciting.

Protection

Hats, essential just make sure you can hear the skipper as he’s the one upstairs giving you directions as to where to drop your bait.
Sunnies: Polarised, just so as you can see the fish better and make sure you have slip on shoes as we leave from the beach.

Free Release Cards

On ‘Billistic’ you maybe asked to fill out a  Free Release Card, this method lowers the impact on our sailfish and marlin and the information collected goes to the NSW tagging program to monitor our fishery.

Pricing

Boat Price – $2000 per/day max of 4. Individuals - $500 per person per day..
For extra people & multiple days contact us for a price.
Includes: Pickup/drop off, morning tea, lunch, snacks, soft drinks and water.

Payment– can be either cash or EFTPOS. Please note: We do NOT accept credit cards. 
Departure times - 7.15 am and returns on the beach approximately 4.15 pm, weather & tide dependent.

Cancellation and refund policy

In the event of a cancellation or if you fail to turn up for a charter after confirmation with Broome Billfish Charters, the following fees apply:

• Within 28 days or more of intended charter - full refund
• Between 14-27 days of intended charter - 50% refund
• Less than 14 days of intended charter - no refund

Broome Billfish Charters reserves the right to postpone, cancel or alter a charter due to weather or mechanical failure or unforseen circumstances. In such an event a full refund will be given.
